1. The issues at stake affect YOU the most! Think about it! You’re the ones who are going to fight the wars, deal with global warming, and suffer if there’s no social security.

2. If you don’t vote you’re super lame if you complain. If you don’t do something about the world you kind of deserve it when someone tells you to shut it. And if you don’t care what happens in the world around you be prepared for a rude shock. People have discovered that the power they didn’t stand up for and protect for themselves, was ultimately used against them. *cough cough- Cuba - cough cough*

3. Being informed about world events is hot. Lets get shallow here for a second. What is more attractive than somoene who can speak intelligently about the world, and is really passionate about what they believe in?

4.  The old folks don’t expect you to. They think they can just do whatever they want in their same old ways. They need the passion, inspiration, and rebellion of youth to keep their minds open to new ideas. What better way to rebel than by doing the unexpected?

5. We actually have a government that allows us to participate. People here and all over the world have fought and died for that right.
